THE TRUTH HURTS ......

WE NEED TO SPEAK UP AND MAKE AN STAND

Spoken words are few
Yet our heart speaks out
The true words
Sworn to silence
Shame
truthful are these words
Out come obscenities
Of immortally
Mankind approves
Of porn magazines laid out
On a super store
In full view of a youngster to see
On the second shelve
Has our world gone mad
Our influence comes from T.V.
Music videos
And much more
Our society has socially accepted it
Why should my voice be subject to silence
I need to get this message across
If I do not speak up
Then who else will
We need to save this generation
From this corrupt world

Rise up

And be counted

Do what is right

correct,

Show people the Godly way.

Jacinta Ramayah I agree totally with you, Rosalind. Pornography should be banned in all countries and children should not be allowed to surf the net freely. In my country although such magazines are not sold, people can get access to uncensored pirated videos. Society, in the first place, should not condone it. Thanks for sharing this important piece ... We live in a corrupt world. From reading your poem i see you understand this... but you must take the next step! why is this world corrupt? We know what jesus condemned... but what of his love? how does this world lack love? How does being selfish mark the sinner as one who does not know God? Could God watch over the sinner as something other than the vindictive arbitrator? I think you are off to a good start (certainly far advanced from where I was in the first 2 or 3 years of my poetry writing) and i believe that through more meditation/payer you can completely harness the gift that God has given you. Keep it up!
