The Best Days Of Our Lives

The Best Days Of Our Lives

A Poem by Ross Emerson Realino

Cracked emotions
Disappointed people
Fragile hearts
Shattered dreams

U-turns and highways
Red lights and blue skies
Loners and lovers
Sleepy heads and dreamers

Inhumane taxes
Government relaxes
Schools into empires
Work and you're fired

Women cry
Children die
Bullets fly
X finds Y

Endless thoughts
Infinite sadness
Our love is dead
What a lovely day

The day has ended
