Under the old cherry treeA Poem by Rudi J.P. LejaeghereI want to do to you what spring does with the cherry trees. Pablo NerudaHigh in the
sky white lines
write direction
into the blue.
Sounds
glide along here and
there passing
around me.
A swallow
flies by and away
again out of the
stables of my
neighbour.
Stayed with
me at home kitty cat
is purring cosily at
my feet.
The sun
draws with shadow an old
cherry tree on the
new-mown grass.
And me, I’m
daydreaming about the past about the
time his boughs still
carried cherries.
