Water treeA Poem by Rudi J.P. LejaeghereCharacter is like a tree and reputation like a shadow. The shadow is what we think of it; the tree is the real thing. Abraham Lincoln
Whisper
with the wind rustle
against my branches the leave
caressed vibrates
and is singing further in my
nerves.
Echo’s of
the rain flow out reverberate in babbling
brooks where I
shoreless refresh my
roots.
I mirror
myself in the
puddles of your
peaceful being quiet and
full of life.
