O M GA Poem by Rudi J.P. Lejaeghere
O M G
Oh my God, The first words that come to my mind When I see those horror images That have plunged France into mourning
I pray every day for my family to be safe, Today I feel guilty because I didn’t pray for them who have died in Paris.
Where were you, my God? I’ve learned as a young boy you’re everywhere. Where were you on Friday the thirteenth? How can you allow this to happen?
Have we deserved this? Are we not worthy anymore? Are we to busy with ourselves, Pushed by financial gain and power? How do I place this?
How do the brother, the sister and the family, The friends of the dead can give it a place? Where were you my God, why have you left us?
