The First Supper (Orange Summer part 3)

The First Supper (Orange Summer part 3)

A Poem by Robert Wilson
"

The girl's response

"
Her words are pink
Echoing through my head like a thousand bells
My chest burns like garbage
As she hacks off my fear with a machete
The roses smell better today
And the sun seems brighter
Everything is engulfed in cheer
I think tonight I'll feast on power
And wash it down with ego

Love it. Those last two lines have much power. Kudos.

I love the imagery, her words are pink, you washing down your feast of power with a glass of ego. Very dramatic.

Do I sense a hint of sarcasm here? Or is it just my warped mind, or maybe a little of both. The poem makes one "re-think". maybe the answers I'll find in the parts to come. Thank you for sharing

love eh? isn't it great!

'Echoing through my head like a thousand bells'
There is nothing better than a womans voice meant for you alone. Nice.

'I think tonight I'll feast on power
And wash it down with ego'

I wouldn't recommend it.
