Faces of the SeaA Poem by HappyOddGirlI love the ocean! I love how it's always doing something different. This poem attempts to capture that diversity. :)Faces of the Sea Wildly rugged, smooth as satin, Mighty Ocean fills my sight; Deeply, darkly, dully rolling, Glinting, flashing, lightning-bright. Slow, majestic, massive sighing, Rapid, rushing, racing ride; Violently storming, crashing; Soft, caressing, stinging tide. Vibrant, playful, friendly menace; Loyally fickle sailor’s wife; Vastly solitary, lonely; Thronging, teeming, filled with life. Who can calm the Sea’s proud ranting? Who can still her thundering? Laughing, roaring, raging, singing " Mighty Ocean knows her King. © Ruth Fanshaw 2011 © 2011 HappyOddGirlAuthor's Note
