Clonmel Streets Drugs Do Lay

Clonmel Streets Drugs Do Lay

A Poem by Thomas Ryan

In Clonmel streets, drugs do lay,

A war rages on, night and day.

The people cry out for relief,

From the pain and endless grief.

The town is on a cliff edge,

As drugs and violence take the lead.

But their are those who still hold on,

And fight for what they know is right.

Let us stand with them today,

And never let the darkness have its way.

For in the end, we will prevail,

And peace will once again will come.

A sign of the times and you wonder how it has been able to get such a grip on our towns and cities. It is a darkness, it is ugly and creates crime. A topical, well written poem. Pleased I stopped by today.
