The boy I forgot

The boy I forgot

A Poem by Thomas Ryan

The boy I forgot,

I remember him not,

His face, his voice, his name,

All lost in the game.

He was once my friend,

But now it's the end,

Of the bond we once shared,

And the memories we bared.

I don't know where he is,

Or what he's doing in this quiz,

But I hope he's happy and well,

And that his life is swell.

The boy I forgot,

I hope he's not distraught,

For I still remember the good times we had,

And the fun we shared; it wasn't all bad.
