The Gay Gossip AislesA Poem by Thomas RyanIn Clonmel's heart, where gossip reigns, The gays in thongs forget their chains, With laughter loud and dance so free, In Penny's aisles, a sight to see. They strut and twirl in neon light, Trying on clothes, a fabulous sight, But oh, the shock, the grand reveal, Those padded bras, an ample steal! "Bigger b***s than Mrs. O'Leary next door?" They chuckle and wink, rolling on the floor, For in Clonmel's realm, the talk is grand, About fashion, love, and all things unplanned. With each new tale, the gossip flies, About who wore what to surprise, The neighbors gasp, the town abounds, With rumors echoing playful sounds. So in Penny's store, if you dare to peek, Amongst the racks where spirits speak, You'll find the gays of Clonmel town, Gossiping in thongs, never wearing a frown. © 2024 Thomas Ryan |
