The whistling windA Poem by RyzoA man looses the battle of custody of his child and is left alone on the streets feeling heartbroken. The wind blows through my ears Making me sniff and shed my tears Through the pain I feel hollow, an empty shell There's no one even willing to listen and hear me tell If life right now was like a box of chocolates it is bitter sweet Seeing my son once more would've been such a treat I can't help but wonder what it could have and shuld have been like being with them again I can never go back though, she's beaten my heart black and blue Just like the eagle flying high and true I'm a freebird. Flying above the white, fluffy clouds. All alone pondering, while I listen to that cold, whistling wind © 2011 RyzoAuthor's Note
