Boogie ManA Poem by S.G.P.
When I was young and misbehaved my mother said, “The Boogie Man will get you.”
As I grew and got in trouble still my mother said, “The Boogie Man will get you.” I never listened, so who cares, what your parents said. I stole, I lied, I drank, I cussed my mother out, and then one night I was arrested. That night, my first time, in jail there was a riot and I was stabbed three times. That night I met the Boogie Man, but my mom should have told me that he lived in Hell. © 2011 S.G.P.Author's Note
