A Voice

A Voice

A Poem by SOJA

There comes out a voice,
Singing far down from the dungeon.
It reaches me though an unclear voice,
and words are implicit too.
A puzzle to me to define her expression.
She must be mourning for her sufferings, I assume
Yet her song ain't a melancholic,
Into a hardship she is,
Quiet a reverse she sounds.
She sounds a blend of optimistic and powerful,
like she will see the sun again.

At first I thought the voice was pitiful.... but then as the poem progressed... there was hope and her voice was upbeat and enlightened.... thank you for sharing
Warmly, B
