The Man I Knew BeforeA Poem by C.N.MooreA Poem about growing upThis single tear that runs my cheek, do not mistake for being weak. For this single tear is a sign of hope, a sign that I still may elope. With all that I have lost and found, in myself and those around. The ones I hold closest to me, are the ones I hurt it seems to be. But today this single tear I say, is the darkest dark before brightest day. For when it hits the ground so hard, finally I will have dropped my guard.
and be the man I always knew. With a heart of love, no more fear, Clint I wish that you were here. Today I'm finally letting go, of all the fear I've grown to know. I never meant to bottle it up, it just filled the top of my bottomless cup. It was so much easier to let it win, this was my first and biggest sin. Now I spend my nights awake, mending the wounds that I helped make. This single tear now on the floor, again the man I knew before. © 2011 C.N.MooreReviews
