Cookie

A Story by S.E.C.

In my creative writing class last year we were given the promt "100 word Monologue", this is what I came up with at 8:00 in the morning.

“You want to know why I ate the cookie? I’ll tell you why!!” His eyes ran wild back and forth between them as he continued to scream at the top of his lungs. “It wasn’t because I was hungry! Of course not! Why in the world would I eat the cookie if I was hungry?” His words were confusing to them. Was he actually serious? Was he trying to be funny and sarcastic? “I ate that cookie with PRIDE! It wasn’t mine and NO ONE was going to stop me! I ate that cookie because it WANTED me to!”
