A PoemA Poem by Langley...I don't understand- I never have and I never will; I am a Ghost.
I watch the world- I watch and nothing more; And I am the Wind. I listen- I listen and I think and I Am; And I am Wall. The world, it passes by, not but flanking my cheek. It is there, and then no more. The Universe- to it I serve the Shadow, who is always there; The Shadow, who is and is not, And always Knows. I am the Shadow of the Universe, a reflection of all that ever was, A Wisp of the Past. The Universe knows and acknowledges me, but when it hides within itself, am Naught.
The darkest hours, O, Horrid hours; Hours of despair and hours of existing as but Naught; There is no Shadow of the Universe when the Universe knows its Sapce; There is only the smoky remembrance of what Was, and nothing more.
What is no more, though, shall always Be; What is no more knows all that ever Was. What is no more will always crave the vastness of the Universe, and all its secrets and delights.... This Shadow... This Shadow will miss what Was, and linger but Naught once the Universe is Hidden Within © 2008 LangleyReviews
