GOLDEN DAYA Poem by SUGATA M
"Women are raped, tortured and killed. Father sells his daughter as he has no source to earn. I am just a spectator. A seasoned spectator who loves to live within his small, narrow world. I hate to dream the GOLDEN DAY"
There is nothing I can do
There is nothing I can say, I have no protest in my blood I can’t bring you the golden day. I can’t dream freedom I can’t hold your air, My life is busy with mine And the soul just can’t bare. I can see women raped I can see children sold, My inactivated heart no more breaks So much I love to remain cold. I have no mind for you Only this much I can say, ‘Forgive me my countrymen, I can’t bring you the golden day.’ © 2013 SUGATA MReviews
