Now That You're Gone

Now That You're Gone

A Poem by Lala

My love for you was immense
And I cannot believe I'm speaking in past tense
If you ask me why I have written this
It is because without you, I am stuck in an abyss
Now that you are gone I don't know how to live on
So I became secluded and withdrawn
Because every time I think I can pull through
Memories just hit me out of the blue
Or it is through small, everyday occurrences
That your presence resurfaces
You have left pieces of yourself everywhere
And I hate I will have experiences I can no longer share
Life has started to feel like a personal apocalypse
You were my sun and it feels like an eternal eclipse
But tonight I looked up to the sky and felt hope
Because I found a way to cope
Thinking that although it was night
There was still light
So instead of my sun, I will now see you as my moon
And I cannot wait to go to heaven and see you soon
