Stoic Clown

Stoic Clown

A Poem by Sad Unc Days 3562

If you were to turn around, change your mind
As you do all the time
I tell myself that I wouldn't want to
Or that I'd be strong enough
to not get hurt again

I must not
I will not jump in to the fire

But it's so pretty,
and it'll keep me warm
for a little while longer
