A poem dedicated to a wonderful friend of mine

I've felt your pain from the beginning

I've listened to your cries

Like a good friend I stayed with you

To help dry your eyes

We come from similar situations

Both struggled dearly

I see the good inside of you

It grows ever clearly

You may not see yourself quite like you should

You may not feel the way about yourself that I wish you would

In time and with determination

Those thoughts will be nothing but simple elimination

There may be those who criticize

When its simply about themselves in disguise

We all have flaws

This is true

There are plenty of wonderful things about you

You're willing to help those in need

To push yourself to succeed

Despite what you might think, quite pretty

Intelligent as hell, and rather witty

I've watched you grow

You've come so far

Keep pushing yourself and show everyone how wonderful you really are
