While I Be

While I Be

A Poem by Krishnaraja Sagar T S
"

A reflection on how digital distractions distort presence, reduce thought, and disconnect us from our own lives.

"
Look where I go,
all in vain - drivel.
Ponder over me, enjoy me while I be.

I begin, no destination.
I stall - a static quagmire.
Thoughts once leviathan, tools for delegation.

Dormant in me consciousness.
Ignorance, looming dark.
Impending doom - obsolete minds.

Uprooted roots, ignored history,
vision traded for noise,
hail bittersweet distractors.

Convinced ink's invisible
when pen and paper are miles apart,
threaded by unsentient wires.

Still, we worship the glow.
