What We MIssA Poem by SagemindA poem about the things we might miss, rushing along in our everyday lives. What We Miss
We rush along in happy bliss You'd be surprised at what you miss Did you see that bum on the street? How he was roasting in the heat? Did you see that man with those bags? With a body that slumps, a face that sags? The shopping cart he pushed around? His place of sleep: a soft dirt mound? We watch TV, we whistle tunes We stare up at the ghost white moon Yet as we stare up at the sky We miss the things that we pass by.
