He's Back

He's Back

A Poem by Sagemind
"

He's back...

"

He's Back

"He's back!" I yelled.

The women screamed.

The men grew pale.

The crow's eyes gleamed.

"He's back!" I yelled,

"To take our town,

"To kill us all,

"To send us down!"

The men drew guns.

The mens drew swords.

They formed into

An angry horde.

"He's there!" I yelled,

And then they turned,

And then they shot,

And then I learned.

"He can't be killed!"

I said, afraid,

"We need God's help!

"I'll send for aid!"

I ran into

The rundown church

I prayed for help

My stomach lurched.

A crack was heard

There was a yell

The beast was gone

To burn in Hell.

I know you don't find out what the beast is, but after all, this is a community of writers, and I think your imaginations will suffice. :)
