Reminders of you

Reminders of you

A Poem by Saimss

"What reminds you of me?" she asked

Little did she know, that I was not the one she should be asking the question

She should rather ask the question to the walls of my room, the words of my keyboard or even the thousands of pages of my countless diaries

Perhaps she should ask the chirping birds in whom I search for her voice or the thousands of smiles where I find myself searching for only hers,

She can even ask the emptiness of space, the nebulae in whom i search her eyes, the moon where I search her face,

Maybe she should ask the shade of the peak summer or the sun of the extreme cold where I still search for her presence to feel even the slightest of comfort

Sometimes I wonder if god made her by putting all of his favourite things in a single being, her eyes with the wondrous of space gleaming like starry skies, her face as pretty as the moon and even more her hair, the lush black hair flowing like a tide that makes you forget every color ever.

It almost reads like a love letter that got scattered into the universe. I could feel the ache in every line.
Amazing work😊
