What your saying is correct, but isnt always the case. You see what your talking about is the differences in the matter of preferences. Liking different genres of movies, having different favourite artists, all those come under that. But what we had was nothing of sort, what we had was a difference in idealogies and that makes all the difference. Had it been a difference in preference then yeah we could've maybe worked out but a difference in idealogies meant that we had different views on the world, we wanted to live our lives differently. In our case, I lived in the present while respecting my past, you know how I always say that, every moment that you don't live to the fullest in a moment you spend disrespecting your past and what you did to get to where you are. It means disrespecting everyone and everythjng that helped you so far which is something i loathed. In the other hand she lived for her future, living today for tomorrow and unfortunately she didn't see me in that tomorrow. She looked into her future and didn't see me so she left me in the present, I looked into my past saw her absence hence could'nt leave her in the present.
