Would You Still?

Would You Still?

A Poem by Saimss
"

Would you Still?

"

Would you still love me if i was a worm?" she asked playfully

"If you were a worm i would be your soil"

"hmm what about a bird"

"then i would be the branch you sit on after your tiresome journey"

"uhh what about a traveller"

"hmm then i would be a well that quinches your thrist"

"You really have a way with your words huh" she said slightly irritated but little did she know everytime i described her every word, every syllable from my mind just vanished. Words the same number as the stars in the sky wouldn't dare be enough to describe her, call her perfect the word itself would die of being unworthy, call her beautiful the word would bury itself for her beauty; The only word that dared to come close was "mine" but I'm afraid that once I dig too dip ,everything that ever was mine would begin and end for her ultimately ending the word itself from the bane of my existence.

This is gorgeously written — playful on the surface, then slipping quietly into something deeply emotional and haunting beneath.
