Fool's Love

Fool's Love

A Poem by Saimss

Dared to touched the doors of heaven, Got plunged into the depths of hell, Seems that embracing eungulfing flames, Never seems to end well All I asked for was a love so pure, A love willing to endure, Something that feels like a friday night, With the assurance that everything will be alright Maybe I was a fool expecting of such love, Rarer that the four leaves of clove, How much more stings can this heart take? How much more smiles can this body fake? One can only hold to a future on such a loose rope, A future with such feeble hope, With each strand this soul writhes in pain, Scared that all the abrasions will be in vain If I ever met the one above us all, The one we all call god, I would like to ask, I would like to ask, If it was really that big of a task, But what can man do but curse his fate, And pray that it will never be too late

You’ve captured heartbreak and longing in a way that lingers.
One line I loved: “Something that feels like a Friday night” — soft, familiar, devastating.
Keep writing — this kind of truth cuts deep.
