The Dawn

The Dawn

A Poem by Saimss
"

A wishful poem, one I wrote while having the upcoming elections in Nepal in my mind

"

Gather ye flowers, ring thee bells,

The horizon is scheming,

The arrival of the dawn,

Unforeseen yet inevitable,

The darkest hour has passed,

The shoulders of the septuagenariane,

The embers of the past,

Brought upon the light, nobis omnibus!

Rest in peace, O' little ones,

I thank thee, for thine sacrifice,

For shall the country carry,

The sharpnels in your memory

For shall the country never forget,

The bloodied hands that preyed upon you,

Shall surely regret,

Fret not, O' little ones, justice shall prevail,

For shall the country never forgive,

The ones stained,

I shall be eternally grateful,

O' mother, for your grace,

As they say, when you need something done,

A woman is your only place,

For the dawn, I plea,

Do not repeat history,

For there couldn't be,

A sadder end to this story,

Do not fail upon those gleaming eyes,

That trusted you with their lives,

Do not prey upon the souls,

Who gave their all to this rise,

I pray, my country sees,

What it could have always seen,

I pray the next time I see you,

You shall become a garden,

A garden, that fosters buds of tomorrow,

A garden, that prospers the flowers of today,

A garden, void of empty promises

A garden, as beautiful as your name
