Curiosity

Curiosity

A Poem by Sam Freeland
"

evidence of thought

"

Being curious is the state

of a thinking active mind

Always desiring to know

and seeking solutions of every kind

Without it we would be

a lessor form of human being

Unable to solve problems

and satisfied without seeing

The challenges we all face

will conquer some who don't know

The curious will solve challenges

for those a bit too slow

If we honor curiosity

in those with an active brain

We are giving them the chance

to become more than plain

Learning to solve problems

of every type and form

Is best when starting early

for those above the norm

Believing the pejorative

"curiosity killed the cat"

Only satisfies the mindless

who seldom know where they're at

Problems don't just go away

they get solved by those who try

Curious minds seek solutions

without ever asking why

Mentors we will always need

to quide those able to learn

We will enjoy more success

when it becomes our major concern

This poem brings on even more curiousity to the reader that the speaker has spoken of. you have made the mind work as if they are curious to read more. Showing that curiousity brings on the excellence of the people. Great poem.
