May Day

wisdom earned

Not a call for help
but a day to be glad
To be mostly in control
giving thanks for what I've had

 

I don't have to look far
beyond what I have done
The battles to live on
and the satisfaction won

 

Luck played a part
and gave me time
Letting me write poetry
and create the rhyme

 

There is no formula
that can give this to you
Just let it flow forth
is the only thing to do

 

We all have the same words
we learned most long ago
When we connect them together
its just about what we know

 

Keeping life simple
is really not that hard
Just believe in yourself
and for others have regard

 

They will give the same
back to you
Becoming a friend
is all about what you do

 

Try it out
you too will get a surprise
As you live each day
you will become more than wise
