Natural Selection

for survival

For thousands of years
all living animal forms
While growing and changing
established natural norms

 

That normal for humans now
if we ever hope to survive
Is the best choice for us
and a chance to stay alive

 

Our genetics have been tested
and found to be better than good
Leave them the way they are
intelligence says we should

 

The many costly attempts
to improve the way we feel
Will lead to many more problems
and be a much worse deal

 

Natural foods being grown
that for diets have done so much
Are the best choice for humans
and they need no chemical touch

 

Over-population causes hunger
sadly some will barely get fed
The obese choose to eat too much
putting on pounds they should shed

 

The best food is more expensive
available to those who can pay
Less healthy food is cheaper
for many there is no other way

 

Spending our hard earned cash
for the best food we can buy
Is one way to be more healthy
 there is no better reason why
