Message

to my Child

I have no message, Dear
that will do you any good
If there were words that would help
I would say them and hope they could

 

It is what you do yourself
that gives the best result
In handling all your problems
of loneliness and insult

 

When we each discover
where real help can be found
We will find it in our self
every time around

 

It does not mean
we shouldn't share problems with friends
Sharing is the source of many solutions
that help to accomplish our ends

 

There is only one person
    who can give you what you need 
You must rely on yourself
and the strength of your creed

 

You have far more power
than you ever thought you'd have
It resides in your determination
not in some kind of salve

 

Look inward and believe
every problem you will solve
They will soon become easier
as you develop your resolve

 

The solutions will be yours
and stronger you will become
It will help in each new problem
as you learn to believe and overcome
