A Prophecy

A Prophecy

A Poem by Sam Freeland
"

often self-fullfilling

"
There is no one model for success
because we all follow our own plan
It should never be described as less
everyone is doing the best they can

Judgement is a poor excuse
to describe others we think we know
Having only questionable use
its better avoided as the way to go

How then should we proceed
just find something positive to say
It will help them with their need
to live their life in a better way

Thinking about what we have done
We know there is much we didn't do
Even with the battles that we won
there were losses to be suffered too

Since I cannot speak for another
never knowing about their own plan
I should treat them like a brother
sharing in the best way that I can

If you followed what I tried to say
you may see it was meant to help you
I was only searching for the best way
to share a little of my wisdom too

My motive was always to test
and find a better way I could relate
Admitting it was not always the best
we all become victims of fate

If you choose to follow my lead
I will wish always for your success
There may be help that you will need
but your efforts will mean more not less
