PromiseA Poem by Sam Freelandfor the futureThis tiny globe of earth
so massive in our vision's Drifts quietly though space unconcerned by man's divisions Our self-importance rules
causing problems with no solutions Earth continues its journey with gravity and revolutions A universe without limits
where time is only a measure Humans are more concerned about someday finding treasure Life given to all by evolution
may fail in appreciation Being too busy to care about creating a safer nation Words of poetry are unheard
by deafness in the human mind Language used by some trying their best to be kind If listening is chosen
as the better way to learn Our hope for humanity may become our concern Those who live for the future
will lead us out of the dark To enjoy the blessings of sunrise and create the saving spark Join with them if you can
they need all the help they can get Our descendents will appreciate it and that is one sure bet 10/24/10
