Confusion

Having to make tough decisions for the benefit of others, despite it being potentially devastating for me...

Confusion, I'm lost,
What to do for the best?
Do the right thing for me,
Or do right by the rest?
To walk from the past
Or to face it head on?
If I face it will ever
My troubles be gone?
Another chance given,
Or say that I'm done?
To take one more gamble,
Or away should I run?
