Why?

This poem is basically about betrayal. It was a quick write something to get my feelings out onto.

WHY?

You were the only person I thought I could trust,

The one person I turned to when times were bad.

 

And when I did you comforted me,

You made me feel like I belonged when I thought I didn’t.

 

Then why after all of that did you turn upon me,

Betray me.

 

I can’t turn back,

Face my fears.

 

I can’t trust anyone,

After what you did to me.

 

So why did you have to ruin my life

Make it horrid and worthless?

 

Take it away,

After everything you did.

 Why?
