Jellyroll Blues
A Poem by
Rose Moon
She walks around the room
flicks on the telly
surfs, sighs, snaps it off.
Picks up a magazine
flicks, fans, frowns
throws it on a chair.
The book
hard cover, heavy, huge -
taps it, walks on
music, loud
Jazzy, jellyroll blues
flick hips, arms reach
mouth opens
smile, sway, sing.

You create so much about this woman and in her world in this. She's perhaps bored, anxious; trying everything to ingite her restlessness into something else and then jazz. This is a lovely character study of a poem and I do like the flow of it also. That adds to the feeligs expressing of her swaying her arms, etc.
Well done.

A fun poem, this one....amazing the imagery you provided with a short write.
I like the "surfs, sighs, snaps it off" and "flicks, fans, frowns" ..... lends to the good rhythm here.
I enjoyed it very much :-)

I love it! It is simple, but complicated at the same time.
It's flow is like Jazz.
Nice job Moon! Cya
