I think is should be somewhat self explanatory...

I'll never show you my depth
I'll never tell you how I feel
I'll always be there for you
but I'll never help you heal

I'll always and forever protect you
I'll stand outside your gate
but i will never lie for you
Only the truth I will ever state

I can't survive without you
I swear I would trade it all
I don't want to miss anything
I hope I'll be there when you fall

Maybe you can save me
from the change I'm about to endure
Just so I will never worry
Safety is what you need to ensure

I can't stay here for you
I can't really tell you why
Forever I will always miss you
For now I can just say good-bye

writing is subjective. i got from this a blantant struggle between wanting to be there and care for someone but your better half wants to say good bye. the struggle between the two throughout the poem is what i loved.the blunt manner in which this is all conveyed and the passion behind both desires is amazing.
