Dyatlov Pass Incident

If you don't know the story, here's how it starts. Nine college students decided to hike up Ural Mountain. It was going to be fun! Friends camping and traveling up this mountain. Right?
Wrong.
If only they knew they were going to spark one of the greatest, most disturbing unsolved mystery ever.
So what happened?

Well, when people didn't hear back from the group (and when they didn't reach destination) this sparked red flags. A search party was formed and horrifically, they found them.
Well... They found the tent first.
Their tent had been slashed from the inside as if the group desperately tried to escape the tent. And the footprints told searchers exactly what direction they went.
Then they found the bodies. All in a straight line. Some were at least 300 yards from each other. An they all had gruesome injuries.
-No eyes
-One had no tongue
-Chests had been splintered from pressure
-Radioactivity had been found on them
-Grey hair! And they were in their 20's!
-Their insides looked like they'd been fried
-Head trauma and cracked skulls

Now you tell me this is your average death. No? And you know what else? The bodies had almost no clothes- meaning this all happened fast when they had to get out of that tent.
What's more? Well based on evidence of the trees, some of the members tried to climb them in desperation to get away from... Whatever it was.

Now more on 'whatever it was'
No one can decide what 'it' was!
Here are some theories

-Avalanche (but there was no deep snow proving an avalanche had come through)
-Local Tribe (they were really peaceful and not at all violent)
-Bigfoot (...best answer? Really?)
-Some creature (Maybe... What has superhuman force to crush ribs like that?)
-Military attack (Of course! Military! Let's blame them! Ripping out tongues... Yep, sounds like them!)
-Infrasound (there is evidence of infrasound in the ural mountains. It explains the panic- but not the injuries)

Ok. Now to focus on some reaaaaally freaky evidence. First off, one of the last diary entry one of the members wrote was;
"We now know that snowmen are real"
(this is translated from, like, Russian or something)
And even more creepy? Was this photo they took. (I won't show it incase someone is disturbed)

This picture that one of the members took clearly shows this humanoid figure at the edge of the woods. Eerie. It gives me the chills. Honestly, it freaks me out. What is this thing????

This mystery will probably never be solved. And this makes me pull my hair out with so many questions I want answered.
Like
"What is that thing?"
And most importantly,
"What happened??"

Ah this is interesting (eerily) to read past midnight. Thank you for introducing me to that terrible incident. Certainly disturbing and makes one question what did happen. .. Hypothermia couldn't have done that though. Perhaps it was some creature like the image there... Intrigued.

of them went mad, wonder what effect that temp would have on the brain?

Quite possibly. But wouldn't they have found evidence of others blood on one individual? A good theory though. And wouldnt the insane one run off somewhere else? They were all in a perfect straight line. They made no attempt to go back to camp as they made fires where their bodies were.
