Summer of Maine

Summer of Maine

A Poem by LazerRays

Ah, summer is here,
the breeze smells of ocean,
Salty air from the shore,
Lobster hauled from the traps,
Boats on the coast,
The docks wet from waves,
And seagulls sit and wait for an easy snatch,
The boat rocking back and forth,
Fishing poles hang off the side,
Eating lunch on the ocean,
Such a perfect summer in Maine,

I reMaine pleased by your poetry. I think it's Mainely because of the imagery you Mainetain. I usually do Mainetenence on my poems to improve on them over time. My Maine way of doing things is looking over them every once in a while, Mainey (pronounced many) people love where they come from. Thank you for sharing, my Maine man.

PS, if I take a rocket to Maine, does that mean I'm part of team rocket?

In all seriousness though, great poem. It shows me pictures of your home in my mind. Now I want to visit! I really enjoyed reading it. You're a good poet, for a rocket. As usual, great job!
