Nothing Matters Anymore
A Poem by Sarah
This poem is about a scene from the book I'm writing.
Nothing Matters Anymore
Rain-
heavy,
pounding.
A girl
cries.
Gone
Gone
Gone.
The wind
howls.
Grief,
anger,
loss.
Cold
and silent.
Hand outstretched,
stiff
on the floor.
Goodbye
still on her lips
yet never
spoken.
Never to speak
again.
Beside her,
a girl
cries.

Way different from my usual style- if I even have a style- but it seemed appropriate for the picture I was trying to create. Its a scene from the book I'm writing. A very emotional scene, I might add.

Nice flow of thoughts and emotion in this poem. I like the short and powerful statements. The sadness of the goodbye is strong in the excellent poem.
