i wrote this for you

i wrote this when i hated my life. except i didn't hate this one person. and i remember i was angry when i wrote this, and i just wanted to get away from everything about the world that i hated. i created my own little heaven, complete with nice weather a

distract me and let's drift away
into a better universe;
where nothing matters but the other, and fickle issues discintegrate.
you take deep breaths, i'll eat my protein
while fear and worry become extinct.
we'll stain ourselves with a nice scene,
inch by inch, through a pinhole.
and start out brand new, exfoliating doubt and negativity
with carefully constructed blueprints.
we'll swear like rappers and rally insults until someone hits a harder shot,
but hurt won't hurt anymore.
we'll bang drumsticks on old brick walls and chalk up our opinions,
or simply let the minds in our hands take control.
you can talk about your childhood while i destroy pinecones and try
to analyze it, quoting kate nash, max bemis, jenny lewis, and any song.
we'll write anthems and boast them beside a campfire,
doodling rings of smoke and burning pinestraw.
and we'll laugh at the others, laugh at ourselves,
laugh at the oxidized hapiness escaping our skin.
nothing will matter because we won't let it bother,
because we are all that will be important

disintegrate...typo

the feel of this was one of escape...with a pretty cynical view of the world, but i can understand and relate because i think we all go there some time or another, i liked the destroying of the pine cones...it shows the kind of reckless boredom that has its point in pointless destruction..it's like a disembodiment of teenage angst into a hole of apathy and aggravation, i'm feeling it, great stuff.
