To Leave Me

I wrote this when my ex and I were going through a rough patch.

To leave,

And never come back.

To leave me standing on that same spot,

On that same track.

To just desert me,

And leave me crying.

To leave quietly,

And leave me dying.

That gesture,

Will kill me alone.

But I promise you,

You will only hear the last moan.

As the last words to leave my lips,

Will be your name.

And I will die,

Loving you the same.
