A Simple Love

Love is truly an inspiring mistress.

The cool waves break beneath my feet,
As sea and sand continually meet,

Hand in hand we stroll the shore,
Hand in hand, forever more.

Side by side we laugh and play,
As sunlight soaks us, ray by ray,

The wind whips by us strong and swift,
In joyful essence, our hearts uplift,

Love is a mistress that hides in disguise,
But I always find her within your eyes,

Whether on land or up in the skies,
A love like ours never ends, never dies.
