I Am The One

I am the one who's in control of my life
Some may say that my past is what defines me
But it doesn't, it's what happens here in the present
That defines me as a person.

But I am the one who's in control of my life,
No one can control it for me,
I am not just a label that others put onto me
But I am my own person,

But I am the one who's in control of my life
Yeah, I have had made stupid mistakes
But I am not going to be held back from those failures
I am learning from my mistakes and I'm striving to be a better

But I am the one who's in control of my life
I love to enjoy life as it is right now
And I will no longer dwell on the past
I will start looking forward towards a better tomorrow

But I am the one who's in control of my life
And nobody else can make me do something I don't want to
Because I have my own free will
And I have the right to speak my mind and thoughts.
