Trees taleA Poem by SavannahA quiet ride home turned into a moment of reflection. This poem captures the silent stories of trees — their strength, stillness, and the quiet lessons they offer us, if only we paused to notice.
While coming back,
I was enjoying the beauty outside the van ?" those passing trees, each having a different shape, different leaves. While looking at them, my brain started thinking about their journey of life?" how they’ve become witnesses to all the seasons, weather, moments, each having their own stories to tell. What if trees could talk? Wouldn't it be amazing, all of them sharing their tales? With each passing tree, I kept thinking how they are so unique from each other: some stood straight, while some tilted themselves. Some had leaves loaded on their branches, while some didn’t even have a single leaf?" yet they all stood high toward the sky. Some had multiple branches, some had none. Still, they were the beauty of nature, residents of the place for ages, each carrying experiences of hardships. They are the providers, giving without ever asking for a favour?" but what are we doing to them? Snatching their lives for our selfish desires.
