This is a poem I wrote coming out of a rough patch where some family had passed and I really started contemplating where it was I was going in life and just me trying to grasp for some meaning.

It's a lonely world 
My skins feelings bare
Joy and laughter
Ever so rare

Alone or not
Merely a blank stare
One's inner mind
Often the biggest scare

So many questions
Who, what, why
No answer 
We all just die

Who am I
Let out in a cry
Just another guy?
Why must we pry?

Life is complicated
Damn it's a lot
Always asking questions
Writing your story's plot

The whole world just
Going through the motions
Sailing on a boat
Across the mind's oceans 

Perhaps
One day 
Going through life
Find yourself you may

But until than
Only ever confusion
Hiding yourself
And seeking seclusion

But if you find
A person just right
They might be the one
That brightens your night

That's really life
A never ending search
So until than get to your knees
Pray to God go to church

Find some meaning
Find some time
Write a book
Write a rhyme

Let it all out
Fall to the ground
Get back up
Don't stay down

Make it all worth
The anger and pain
Just be yourself
We're not all the same

Oh don't worry
You'll find a way to deal
I know its scary
And life is just so real

It can seem so fast
So take it in slow
Step by step
Let yourself grow

And Power oh so great
But oh so is love and hate
Feelings cause wars
But peace let us create

Life is impossible
So take it in stride
Disaster comes often
Don't let it kill your pride

Peril is constant
It's a fact of life
But don't let it take hold
And fight without strife

Life comes on constant
And ends in a sudden halt
So live life for all its worth
And don't die having lived without fault
