the music

love is nothing more than a dance

spread your loving hands
all over my body
and let’s dance,
while the music
has us in a trance.

press your naked flesh
all over my body
and let’s grind,
while the music
melts our mind.

kiss your swollen lips
all over my body
and just let go,
while the music
takes control.

breathe your sultry breath
all over my body
and sink in,
while the music
moves my skin.

wrap your spent arms
around my body
and just drop,
while the music
comes to a stop.

I like that you specified this to be read in a whisper, because while I read it, I imagined the music playing behind the narrator. Loud, heavy, exciting. But the whispered verses over the loud music make it feel like something to be heard in secret, if to be heard at all. Heard only by the narrator, spoken through the rhythm and the dance.

Love is a dance. Sometimes we rock that dance floor and sometimes we trip over our own feet and end up in pain on the ground....but the dance never ends. I like it-a very fun read-nice work.
