Simple Pleasures

An emotion I've always felt and could never express before writing this haiku.

 

            Simple Pleasures

 Blood tears through my veins,

 my senses are all alight.

 You just spoke my name.

Love should be this simple. Although, if it were, I think it would not be so cherished as it is. Love is something that can change lives and perspectives and feelings. It is fitting that love is complicated.

But the feeling of a lover speaking your name is like a little piece of nirvana.
