i shudder all over beneath
beneath layers of clothing
hair damp tails around my face
leaving cold marks on my cheeks
laptop on aching knees
and my flesh is reverberating
my teeth chattering
and i want, i need to cry
but there's nothing there
nothing more to release, only
icy thoughts and a frosty heart.
